competitor slander

Our competitor is saying bad things about our machines, such as they catch on fire and don't work to potential and current customers. What can I do?

Re: competitor slander

If you can prove the statements are false and if you can prove that you have been damaged, you may have a case for defamation. Consult with a local attorney.

Re: competitor slander

I generally recommend a demand letter demanding that the statement cease or face a lawsuit for defamation (and possibly other claims). You may also want to include a demand for monetary damages if the statements have caused any harm to your business. If they don't respond to the letter, you may want to consider filing the law suit.
