Legal Question in Business Law in Georgia

Small business owner locked doors and moved out of state

One of my customers locked his doors and moved to New York, without paying an invoice. He is incorporated and he and his wife are the only officers. His former employees say the business was profitable, but that he came into some inheritance and wanted to be closer to the rest of his family. He made it hard to track him down. Business and home phones were disconnected with no forwarding number. His business address was not forwarded and his home was forwarded to a PO box in New York. This guy is obviously trying to skip out. If I can get his new address, can I sue him? If so, where? Is this criminal? Thanks.

If you can find him, you surely can sue him. However, that would probably have to be in NY. I don't see any criminal liability. If you need a referral to a reputable private investigator who can locate people, let me know.
