Legal Question in Business Law in Georgia

What are the steps of opening a small business as an LLC?

I need help. I am ready to open my cleaning business, however, I am confused of what my first step should be. I want a fictious name and I want to be LLC, where do i go from here? Where can I apply for LLC? Is there anything else that I need to know?

You should speak with a local business attorney to determine what entity is the right fit for your business and also discuss the steps after incorporation. Do not incorporate with an online service. Registering a name with the Secretary of State is only one of the initial steps of the incorporation process.

There are several steps to take at the beginning of starting your own small business, and a number of questions to be considered. In addition to choosing the form of your business entity and all the tax and liability questions that entails, you should also consider what licenses, taxes, and insurance are required in order for you to begin conducting legitimate business.

The Georgia Secretary of State handles the registration and compliance filings for business entities, and the Internal Revenue Service and the State Revenue Department handle your Tax ID and tax compliance issues. There could be several such issues, depending on your business model.

Please contact me using the information below at your convenience to discuss the matter further.
