Uncollected business debt

How do I get my product back or how do I get paid for the product a customer purchased and has never paid any of the bill. The bill amount is apx., $50,000 and is 90 days old, the company is avoiding our calls and letters. What legal options do i have?

After this length of time, it looks like they don't intend to pay. A letter from a lawyer probably won't do any good; after all, it's just a letter. You may need to go ahead and sue them in the county where they are located.

In the overwhelming majority of cases, the option at this point is to have a lawyer write a demand letter and then a collection suit. If you have a lawyer for other business matters, he or she can either draft the letter or refer you to a lawyer who handles these type of matters.

Unless you retained a security interest in the property you sold, you may need to sue your debtor, take a judgment, proceed with post judgment collection activities, and then hopefully collect your debt. Experienced collection attorneys are familiar with the process and save time in going through the steps. Good luck!
