There are a whole host of different things you need to do to get your business up and running. Too many things to list in this forum. Here's just a sample of some of the things you will contend with if trying to open an all male private club or bar in Atlanta --

1.) Organize or incorporate your business so that you have personal civil liability protection.

2.) Find a location, keeping in mind that various city, county, and state laws may effect where you can and cannot locate your business.

3.) Negotiate a lease or buy the property.

4.) Obtain a business license.

5.) Obtain 2 alcohol licenses -- one from the City of Atlanta and one from the State of Georgia.

6.) Hire employees -- making sure that each are permitted if there will be any nude dancing (not sure what type of "male private club" you are referring to, so I thought I'd throw that in there just in case).

7.) You will have to have a Fire inspection, a Building inspection, and a Health inspection.

8.) If you plan to serve food, you will need a food service permit.

9.) If you want to go by a trade name (for instance "Twist" or "Pano's and Paul's"), you will need to register it.

10.) Hire a CPA or someone experienced in taxes that can pay your monthly holdings and sales tax.

In other words, there are a LOT of things that go into starting a business like this. Your best, most cost efficient, time efficient, and smartest way to go is hire a lawyer to handle most of these things for you.....especially the alcohol license, which is expensive and complicated to obtain. It may cost you a pretty penny up front to hire a lawyer, but your business will be up and running quicker, with less frustration on your end, and in a legally sound/protected manner. There's no price you can put on that if you intend to start a business AND continue to keep it a successful enterprise in the future.

I am very experienced in these types of business matters and live and work in midtown Atlanta. If you would like to speak further about your business venture at any point in the process (although at the beginning is better!), please feel free to contact at [email protected].

Best of luck.******The above is for informational purposes only and does not create an attorney-client privilege.*******
