Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Georgia

Ok well, me and my wife have been married little over five months now. Her mom has given us countless problems with our marriage as well as our financial status. She told my wife that I stole money from my last job when I never have. But other than that the main question I have concerns a recent text from her. It says , and I quote, "you are a fool if you think he is going to do anything to make your life better. All hell is going to break lose for you when you have another person besides yourself to support. You will become trash yourself , living from hoof to mouth with the likes of him. What do you think he has gold balls that he can use to support you. You will never be able to live in a descent place with that thing. He has nothing and never will. He is a loser. It will take him a longtime if ever to understand life. Something is mentally wrong with him! I trust in god and I can see the future. Luke (a guy she has tried to get my wife to leave me for) came into our life for a reason. You need to ask why." Now this is just one of many. Is there a slander case here. Cause I am emotionally hurt and physically stressed beyond my limits.

If you want make sure you have more stress in your life and marriage, file or threaten to file a lawsuit against your mother-in law. You and your wife need to work this out and decide whether or not you are going to let Mom interfere, or the only legal action you'll have is a divorce case. See a marriage counselor, not a lawyer. I'd suggest even mentioning legal action against Mom will blow up.
