Legal Question in Consumer Law in Georgia

Selling of someone else's stuff stored on our property

We have been storing some restaurant equipment in our basement for friends next door. They have gotten a divorce a couple of years ago. They were both told by myself to get it out of our basement. They never did. I sent cert. letters to him, which were returned by post office never picked up by him or answered. I sold this equipment last January, 08 on Craig's List and now he wants to sell them. He does not know I already sold them. Can he do anything legal to me or my family?

He can probably have you arrested and put in jail. You stold his property. See a good criminal lawyer to discuss your options.
