Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Georgia

Collection agent calling 5 times a day

I thought that under federal law a debt collection agency could only call your home phone once a day. I am dealing with a firm that calls my home phone about five (5) times a day. What can I do ?

File bankruptcy (see www.glenashman.com and get a free worksheet and call us for a consult) or send them a drop dead letter (you can find one on Clarkhoward.com). Bear in mind the drop dead letter makes it likely you'll get sued since they can't call after that.

Bankruptcy is a last resport, and for all we know, would be inappropriate for you. Your first and best option for what to do is to either pay the debt or enter into a written payment plan.
