Personal Gaurantor

I was a partner in a plumbing business, and was released of my duties in November 2007, I had signed a personal guarantor agreement as a n agent of this company. Yesterday I was served with notice that I had been listed as a defendant in this matter. What is my footing in this mater

If you're a personal guarantor and have been sued, you need to hire a lawyer immediately. An answer is due from you within 30 days, and you may end up having to pay. You may also be able to get out of it through bankruptcy, depending on details you did not post.
