Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Georgia

personal property seizure

If I have a judgement against me, can a debtor or collections company seize personal property such as computers, furnishings, and tools help satisfy the debt. How is this accomplished and what is the process for determining what property I do actually own?

Re: personal property seizure

Sure they can, although it is more likely that they will seize your paycheck, real estate, car and bank account first. If they plan to go after the rest, you likely will see post-judgment interrogatories.

Instead of waiting for more problems, why not see a lawyer and look at your options, such as bankruptcy?
