If a check was returned for non sufficient funds twice but the third time it cleared (amount of check plus check fee) could the company charge you fees for the two times it did not go thru?

In addition to Mr. Ashman's response, often the other party will consider proceeding under the criminal statutes. Paying return check charges (in part because your bad check may have cost them a fee from their bank) is a better deal.
