All the time you need to review every word of the document and understand all the terms and make an informed decision - right up until the time you sign the contract.

Once you sign it, you're bound by it. There's NO time to change your mind.

I agree. There is no right of rescission of the contract or cooling off period. You sign and the car is yours regardless of whether you like it or not or change your mind. That is why you have to do your homework BEFORE you buy.

Exceptions would be if the dealer "spotted" a car to you and the finance company rejected your application and no other lender would finance you. In such case, your remedy is to give back the car and try somewhere else. If the dealer engaged in fraud, then your remedy is to sue for that. Sometimes you can unwind the deal depending on the circumstances but that would be up to you and the dealer to mutually agree.
