Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia

Arrested for contempt of court

I went to a Georgia traffic court for a traffic violation with no accident involved. The Judge declaired that I was guilty but I attempted to explain more. I was ordered to stop talking. I then pulled out a traffic school certificate and tried to ask the judge whether he will accept the document for point reduction. Just as I started with ''May I...'', the judge ordered me to stop talking, and otherwise I would be arrested. I closed my mouth and pointed at the document instead. I was promptly ordered to be arrested and then taken in to a holding cell. I was held there for about 40 minutes. My questions is, will this be considered a criminal charge and will this be put in my record?
