Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia

Breach of Contract with Afterschool Program

I took my child out of a afterschool program after finding out the coach pulled a gun out on someone, a boy arrested on premises for molestation attended the program and I was not notified by organization, afterschool transportation had bald and dry riotted tires, expired tags, no insurance, a child came up missing for 1 week, anybody can walk throughout the facility without being questioned, no one helped with homework and food serving did not meet state requirements. I emailed director of my complaints and she offer to remedy my situation which was to get out of the contract. She is not trying to sue for afterschool fees through May 2007. What should I do?

Re: Breach of Contract with Afterschool Program

Since you wrote that you asked her to get out of the contract, and she is not suing, it sounds like you solved your own problem and don't need more advice. (A tip for the future: never ever use email to resolve a problem. That is never acceptable. Always use real mail, and get proof of delivery and save copies.) One loose end since she's already agreed not to sue you - do report the day care to the state. That should be investigated.
