Drug Posession

17 yr. old stopped for possible bogus stop sign infraction,

officer found two pills of muscle relaxer, along with pill cutter. Wrote report around methamphetemine posession. Have posted bail. No one in car were impaired in any way. this was also officers statement. This is first interaction with law, no prior records. Looking for advice. possible recommendation - cobb county ga.

Were the pills prescription? Why did the officer call them Meth if they were muscle relaxers? Was he charged with DUI as well as possession? I assume he was driving. Subject to more facts, he faces loss of license and prosecution for possession of a controlled substance. This is true whether or not he was driving under the influence. If he has a prescription for muscle relaxers it would sure help. He needs representation and should speak with an attorney as soon as possible.
