My brother was arrested in FL on a warrant from GA which was a misdemeanor charge. He was extradited from FL to GA. Is this legal?

Re: extradition over a misdemeanor

As long as it was done according to state law, there is no reason why one cannot be extradited from one sister state to another even on a misdemeanor.

Get him a good lawyer in Georgia. He may be facing bail jump charges there too.

Good luck.
