Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
where can I find legal aid if i was unlawfully arrested for disorderly conduct because I asked the officer if i had to make a statement as a witness. He then threw me up against the wall and arrested me.I am a mother of three and a grandmother. I have been so humiliated. I just dont have thousands of dollars for an attorney,but will NOT plead guilty. I live in Walton co.,Social circle, Ga. We have a small town where the police here are already under investigation for abuse of power.

Before you worry about civil cases, worry about going back to jail. If you cannot afford counsel, request appointed criminal counsel. If you feel you have been wrongfully arrested and win your criminal case, ask that lawyer for a referral for a civil case.
