Georgia law provides for the forfeiture/seizure of property that is used in connection with a crime. The property has to be disposed of according the provisions of the statute. Accordingly property cannot be disposed of until there is a conviction/final disposition and/or if property is unclaimed for a period greater than 90 days.

If you have valuable property that you are concerned about, it makes even more sense to retain a lawyer for yourself or for your family/friend so that you can avoid complications in the future. For more information, See O.C.G.A. 17-5-54 or visit us online at: www.rousecolaw.com
