Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
Juvenile Pleading
My son is 16 and has been charged with possession of a controlled substance. He was caught with marijuana and cocaine. The first being a misdeameanor and the second a felony. This is his first offense. He was guilty. I have had a friend tell me that a person can plead ''no contest'' or something of that nature rather than innocent or guilty. Is this true and if so, what does it mean?

Nollo contendre is what you are speaking of. This is not something you need to consider with drug charges of any nature, muchless a felony. There are much better options. Please contact a local attorney. Remember, if you had cancer you could take an asprin but is that advisable?
