Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia

we live in carroll co ga. my husband was arrested june 2006 and sentenced to 5 yrs do 3 meanwhile he had pending warrants in haralson co, he was released on tues sept. 22, 2009. the prison said that hharalson co had a hold on him from the warrants but due to recent flooding in the area they said they would release the hold and allow him to turn hisself in. the warrants are for mistermeanor fleeing and eluding and obstruction. do they warrants/charges have a statute of limitations? if so do we still have to bond him out or can we o before te district att. to have tem dropped?

If the charges are misdemeanors, the statue is 2 years, if it is a felony, then the statue is 4. Don't try and reason with the DA. They ARE NOT on your side!!!!! Get a criminal defense attorney who knows what they are doing to try and negociate a good plea. If I can help you further, please let me know. I practice in the entire state of Ga.
