It depends on what stage ti si at, and what the charges are. See website on court dates, which explains what each court date involves: www.lawrencelewispc.com

That depends on which court, which prosecutor, which judge, what the charges are, whether the defendant is in jail, what motions defendant has filed, etc. That can range from weeks to months to years.

The one thing that is certain. This is a stage where you already should have a lawyer. That's critical.

The short answer is it depends. Every county and city is different and sometimes there are differences between State Court (misdemeanor) and Superior Court (Felony). There are even differences between State and Federal Court. As a general rule, I would say 3-9 months for felonies and 1-6 months for misdemeanors depending the jurisdiction. The first date will usually be an arraignment which is just a formal charging and any trial or motion will usually fall a month or two after the arraignment date depending on whether you ask for a bench trial or a jury trial. Do yourself a favor and call a lawyer in your area for a free consultation.
