Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
marijiuana distribution
i have impending charges in court and would like to know if a public defender will be sufficient counsel for me.2 counts of distribution(separate occassions) and 1 count of misdemeanor possesion(3rd occassion) i have no priors and want to avoid jail time if at all possible. what are my chances? i live out of state now, is sentencing transferrable? can you tell me the maxiumum sentence for these charges? thank you for your help.

The sale charges are serious and carry a possible sentence of 2-`5 yearsin prison. I don't know ewhere your chgarges are from but in my circuit this would be a time to serve case with probation following. time to serve cannot be transferred but probation can.
