This is a murder case in Georgia. If a judge admits in the court room that he has known a victim since they were 16 and went to see the victim in the hospital, should he continue to preside over the trial that the defendant is being charged in? If not, what does Georgia law says about this? This is not a home work assignment and I am not a law school student.
Tx.
Since the victim in the murder case is dead how did he see the victim in the hospital? And if he did, it wouldn't likely matter in a jury trial (if either party felt it did they could file a motion to recuse).
