Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia

I have a question can I get into trouble for telling the truth about a situation that I covered for someone else at the time. I covered for this person because at the time he was staying in my house and I was afraid of what he might do if he got into trouble. I had covered for him saying I was the one who was hitting my husband when it was the other Guy. I was afraid what he was capable of because I have 2 small kids in my house. Once this Guy was out of my house he would make threats to my husband had his friends message me on my chat pages threatening my husband. All this was happening end of May beginning of June. There was a hearing the next day I had said the same thing in that hearing because this Guy was still in my house.

people lie everyday. as long as you are not upset when no one believes you, you should tell whatever new story you want to tell.

You have posted that you went to court and committed perjury in a criminal case. Yes, if that is found out, you can go to prison. No one can predict if that will happen.
