I recently used a counterfeit 100 dollar bill, against my knowledge, at an Arby’s. The manager figured out that it was a counterfeit 100 dollar bill, and called the police. The police came up to me and asked to search me.... I let them search me... and of course they found nothing incriminating on me that would point to me being a counterfeiter. However, they still arrested me, I guess on the grounds that I had simply passed a fake 100 dollar bill. This happened a week ago. They let me out soon after they arrested me. I later checked online about how cops arrest people according to whether or not they have probable cause. Does it seem like they had a probable cause to arrest me (should they have arrested me) that time, even if they searched me and I had nothing on me.

If you were arrested for passing a counterfeit bill, it is generally probable cause that you actually passed a counterfeit bill (and you likely admitted it). Short of a video tape, I am not sure what more you would expect.
