Would you represent the accused?

Would you represent a client that admitted to your paralegal the did committ the crime in which they are to stand trail for? and if so what ethical rule or guidelines would you follow under georgia state and attorney- client privilege?

Yes, I would represent the client. However, I would not and could not allow the client to testify they did no commit the offense. This would be allowing perjury. Since the client did not admit his guilt to me this would be a very gray area and I would most likely seek advice from the GA Bar.
