Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia

I was unable to select the area of law I have a question in. Re: removeal of body across state line prior to investigation prohibited.

The body was creamated. Then wife took the ashes w/ her across state line. How can a body be creamated before the investagation has even started?

what investigation? Do you think everytime there is a death, there is a homicide investigation? You would be wrong. The body was cremated because no one anticipated any foul play. End of story.
