Help With Venue Problem

My friend was arrested and made bond for identy theft..in the county where she was arrested the court said there was a venue problem and never had a trial..the public defender told her the other county could pick this up and she would be arrested again.. my question is what happens to the 2 thousand dollars she paid for bail in a county she shouldnt have been arrested in.. will they transfer that bail or is she just out that money? or is there something she can do?

If the charges are dismissed and she paid a cash bond, she in entitled to get that money back. She takes the dismissal form to the sheriff's office where she posted to get it refunded. If she went through a bondsman, the money she paid is kept by the bonding company as their fee.
