Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia

Wrong place wrong time

A friend was driving a vehicle belonging to the passenger, upon being pulled over and for whatever reason they both were searched including the vehicle. The police found meth on my friend in a cigarette pack in his pocket and a lab in the trunk of the car, on the passenger they found meth and charged them both. The passenger owner of the car claimed the lab and all of the other evidence including what was in the cig pack due to his request to ''grab that pack of smokes'' on the way out of the door. Which my friend did and place in his pocket for him. The passenger went to court claiming all evidence and served his time and now out and off parole. My friend FTA'd on this case, 2003, and now is in jail awaiting trial with public defender. The charges are criminal intent to manufacture and possesion of meth, now including the fta. Considering the circumstance would is be wise to use the passengers court records and his testimony to the facts of evidence to obtain a not guilty verdict or plead first offender. My friend has no prior felony charges. Or is there something else that is more effective for this situation?

Re: Wrong place wrong time

Ask your friend's attorney; that is what he/she is there for.
