Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia

A young man is currently being held in the Henry County jail for violation of felony probation on 3 counts. One is a criminal trespass charge (that is soon to be dropped), the other is that the probation officer accused him of being drunk on 7/12 (with no testing, no proof) - he lives at my home and I explained that he wasn't drinking. And the last violation was for being arrears - this is not true - he paid $300 in July and was due another $300 in August, however, the probation office didn't give him but 2 weeks in the month to make the payment. He is on intense probation, and the probation officer is a real jerk. He is known to be the toughest one that will not bend for anything. I sent a fax to the PO and his supervisor explaining the situation, and now I'm wanting to write to the attorney general of the state of GA. Any advice?

My advice is the best way to make things worse for him was for you to write the PO, which will simply piss him off, and to write the attorney general, who has nothing to do with things. Ignoring that myou have made a very poor choice of boyfriends, the old saying is that with friends like that, who needs enemies. If you want to help him, stop writing letters, help him pay off his fines, and pay for his lawyer.
