Legal Question in Discrimination Law in Georgia

Pregnancy Discrimination

I was fired from my job as a deskclerk for being pregnant on 2-27-97. My former employer wrote on my termination papers that I was fired for being pregnant. I have already gone through the EEOC. They sent me a letter stating that under The Prgnancy Discrimination ACt and Title 7 I can not sue them because they don't have enough people working for them. Now My question is, Do I have the right to sue them under the Human Rights Act? If so please explain in full detail so that I may understand.

pregnancy discrimination -- state law.

You need to contact a California lawyer who is familiar with the state statute. It may cover employers with a lower threshold than the Federal Govt and the EEOC. If you are in the San Francisco area call the National Employment Lawyers Association for a referral to a California employment discrimination lawyer.
