Legal Question in DUI Law in Georgia

Early one morning I was awakened by two police officers. My car was parked next to a pump at a gas station. I was sitting behind the wheel. The window was rolled down. The keys were in the ignition and the car was turned on. They gave me and opportunity to call someone to pick me up. I was unsuccessful so they impounded the car and charged me with DUI. I wasn't given any sobriety tests. They released me on a signature bond a few hours later. This happened in the state of Georgia. I missed my courtdate. They suspended my license for about 6 months. Is it possible to get the charge removed or lessened since i never went to court about it? I never appeared before a judge. I never entered a plea.
