My husabd was arrested for DUI in Athens Clarke county. We hired a lawyer to defend him, paid cash up front. The lawyer told us his court date was postponed. We got a letter in the mail saying his bond was being revoked and there would be placing a warrant out for him. We were told that the lawyer we hired was in the hospital with cancer. Is there anything we can do? We do not have the money to pay another lawyer.

You don't need an evaluation - you need a lawyer who primarily handles these cases now. You really do not have a choice, because your husband will be in jail soon (if not already)
You really have to find the money to hire a new lawyer.
That is necessary and urgent.
Do make a complaint with the state bar to see if they will disbar the lawyer for stealing your fees, or force him to pay you back.
