Legal Question in DUI Law in Georgia

Lawyer Failed to appear on DUI case

I was arrested on a DUI charged (first offense ever) and hired a lawyer to handle my case. I blew a .083 and the state limit is .080. The lawyer stated that I need not appear at my court date because he already had petitioned the court to change the date so he could fully evaluate my case. I now recieved a failure to appear notice and a bond forfeit notice in the mail today. What should I do?

Re: Lawyer Failed to appear on DUI case

Try to get your money back and hire another attorney who can get the Failure to Appear warrant lifted. I will be happy to help.
