Legal Question in Education Law in Georgia

Child Safety

My son attends the new Georgia pre-K program,at a daycare.Him and all the other kids have been pushed, kicked, hit,by a bully 2ft.taller than them all year. The owner has done nothing to solve the problem, except talk to his parents wich has not done any good.My son has came home with bloody noses, scratches ,bruises and noone seems to care.I have had enough. My question is are they not liable under state law if they do not keep my child safe. This has come to the point of harrassment he is scared to go to school,he also wets the bed now.The bully has put some sort of emotional or physical bruise on every kid in that classroom. They are teaching those children that they can be controlled by violence and noone will do anything to stop it.

Re: Child Safety

It is unclear as to whether the program you describe

is part of the public school system. If it is you

should file complaints with the local and state boards.

You can also report the situation to the child protection

agency of your county as well as the police department.
