Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

I was born to a single women in 1972; thus my birth certificate names me by her maiden name. She married a different man a year later who raised me as his own with his last name. He somehow got my social security card issued in his last name and I always attended school under his last name. I was over 16 before I was told the truth of my paternity and told it was taken care of. I got my drivers license, got married, and had 2 children. Moved from state to state over the years. Never saw my actual birth certificate until I needed it for a job in 2003. It has my Mom's maiden name. Asked parents and told not worry. Now I have moved to Georgia and need a new licenses. So I am left with a birth certificate that never matched a social security card. I need to know where to start to fix it. My parents are of no help with how they obtained my SSN. I'm worried about the status of my 19 year marriage as well as my kid's birth certificates. Help me, please!!!

This is easily fixed with a name change suit in Superior Court. If you're in or near metro Atlanta call me at 404-768-3509. We can fix this in about a month.
