Child age 13 wants to divorce his father

A 13 years old boy wants to divorce his father. This child is beeing forced to live with father in S.C. and he is afraid of his fathers physical and mental abuse. 13 year old wants to know what age he can divorce his father, due to the fact he has heard of one such case in the past.

In Georgia, a child can decide which parent they want to live with once they are 14 years of age. However, in a situation such as you describe, I imagine a judge would allow him to choose now, and you may want to move for an immediate change of custody.
