Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Child Support Agreement Changes

My initial child support agreement states that my ex-husband is to pay for my children until they reach the age of 18. If my daughter is a full-time college student, does our agreement need to be modified in order for him to pay while she is in school?

If your settlement agreement states nothing about continuing child support beyond age 18, then yes you would have to file for a modification in court or make an agreement with your ex-spouse out of court.
