Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

No Contact Bond

My husband and I had an argument which lead to some shoving. I called the police because I wanted to leave without further argument. We were both put in jail and the bond is set with NO CONTACT. We have been married 22 years with no violence and financial stress led to this. We dont want to be apart but we dont want to go to jail again. Cant afford lawyer and dont qualify for legal aid. Which form do I need to fill out to request that the bond be changed to No Violent Contact so that we can talk to each other? Please help I miss my Husband

Re: No Contact Bond

Your safety is FAR more important than missing someone. There is NEVER an excuse to shove or hit a spouse and studies show that most people who do it once will do it again. Most courts have a pretrial diversion where you can both attend anger management and counseling and if you successfully complete that, then the case is likely to be dismissed.
