Custody

i fathered a child in 2000 out of wedlock and was denied visitation due to the law specifying that. i was military and didnt have time to legitimaize the child as mine . I have since returned and retired from the military and unfortunately and tragically the babays mother died 1 week ago. I know the parents are greiving but hes my child and i believe i should be getting hi m back but im meeting much resisitance from her parents

It is not too late to legimate the child and gain your legal rights as the biological father. The grandparents may object and their objections will only get stronger if you fail to act quickly and your child stays in thier custody. Call me to discuss how to proceed.

As the other answers make mention, you have in the eyes of the law no rights to your child, unless you legitmate the child and esstablish that you are the father. You stand, right now, in the same footing as any other third-party. Lasty, you should act quickly.

You currently have no rights to this minor child. If you have not taken a paternity test, then you should. You should petition for legitimation and custody of the minor child. Please contact my office for further help.
