Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

If my daughter is 17 now, turns 18 in Sept 2011, and is a senior in high school, but won't graduate till May 2012, can she move out without my consent when she turns 18, even though she is still in high school? She will continue high school, but doesn't want to live here. She will be living with her father, the non-custodial parent. Also, do you know how long it takes to get custody changed to another parent? If she (same 17 year old) wants to live with her father and not me (I have been in no trouble, abusive or negligent), what are his chances of getting her?

At age 18, she can go anywhere she wants.

At age 17, she must live where any existing court order says, and the two of you cannot agree to ignore an existing order. Since even an uncontested case would take a month or two at best, it would make no sense to file a custody change now.
