Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Finding a Lawyer Necessary?

My husband and I are getting a divorce and we both feel this will be amicable. We talk and are friends but things just are right between us. We have 2 children, lots of debt and a huge house with his mother living with us. Is it necessary to get a lwayer and if so how can I do it without going broke????

An uncontested divorce can run as low as a few hundred dollars. You can find contact information (phone and email) and a free worksheet to fill in prior to your office visit at www.glenashman.com .

Without a lawyer, most courts make it very hard to get divorced, and, even if you succeed, the paperwork could be flawed, creating expensive problems later.

Our fees, in cases with children, start at about $299 for certain counties that waive hearings. I'd need more information to give you a quote in your case.

But yes, you do need a lawyer to do it right. And no, it won't cost an arm and a leg.
