Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

My husband and I are basically living together with problems, no legal separation, but the marriage is running its course. Does he have a legal right to take the car that he was financing for me to drive, away from me...(away from the house), just because it was in his name? He basically took the keys and left me and the kids with nothing to drive.

Sure. It's in his name. Until you actually file something in court everyone can do as they please.

I recommend you consult with an attorney right away to get court proceedings started. Temporary support can be ordered and you can move to have use of the car or obtain sufficient funds to allow you to rent or buy a car.
