Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

I live in Georgia, my child's father is living with a girl who recently got out of a mental institute TODAY (just found out) and she had her child taken away from her this past week . What can I do to keep my kids away? I don't have money to get a lawyer he does not pay child support and he has a long history of drug abuse and just got out of prison in January for drugs. I was told if he has copy of visitation then I have to let them go or I will be in contempt
