Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

I am needing advice on how to regain custody of my son from my mother. She was awarded sole physical and legal custody in 2011 in default judgment. I was never served to appear and was unaware she filed for permanent custody without notifying me. I am currently on supervised visitation and only allowed 2 days a month for 2 hours to see my son which I am denied visits regularly. I agreed to temp custody per her request so could stabilize myself when I was 18. I have been married for 4 years, have another son, stable job, never had a criminal record, or any history of drug use. My mom is unwilling to negotiate or allow me to raise my son, she is currently been under investigation for having my son present in her nightclubs while drug use and prostitution was recorded by undercover agents which has resulted in the shutdown of her establishment and my son was being exposed to this every weekend with nothing being done. I don't have to funds to afford an attorney but need some advice on how to pursue this as I am very concerned for my son's wellbeing.

You only get one chance at this, and pro se cases are usually lost, so do not file pro se. Save up or borrow to get counsel. You have what is likely a highly complex piece of litigation and blowing your only chance is simply not a good plan. Lawyers spend years in law school, CLE, and handling cases to get good and skilled at such matters. It would take books to answer you and years to teach you all the tools you need to win a case. Bear in mind if you file pro se and lose you can never again raise the same factual issues.
