Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

My niece had a baby yesterday that she was planning to give to an adoption agency. My husband & I would like to adopt him & she would also like that as well. How do we go about this? He has not been named at this point & she is still in the hospital. He was not promised to any other adopting family. She's only been speaking with the adoption counselors for a week.

You should immediately see an adoption lawyer. There is a lot to do quickly, and to speed up the process, be sure you can locate the father.
