Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Property rights

My husband walked out on me and my two grandkids that I have custody of. He took every dime we had, his motorcyle, and the family car which is in his name. I was left with nothing but the kids, living off of my daughter. He will only allow me to use the car occasionaly if I sign a paper saying I will return it. Can he do this to me? No divorce proceedings have been started by either party. Can I legally keep the car for transportation and am I responsible for the payments and insurance if I do?

Your situation is too complicated for me to be able to give you any reliable answer in this type of forum. You should at least get a phone consultation with a local attorney. If you are in my area, please feel free to give me a call.
