Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

I was served papers from my ex to try to lower child support. He did this before asking me for any of my pay stubs so he had no idea how much i was making. This all happened 6 months after the divorce was finalized and child support was decided. Child support was dropped by $92 in a temp hearing...nothing was ever finalized...then he decided to leave the child support where it was in the first place because it probably would have gone back up by the time we had a final court date.... $3000 later on my part. I paid attorney fees for nothing! Is there a way to get that money back from him since he never asked for my pay stubs in the first place? he didn't realize how little i was making until after he served me...forcing me to get an attorney.

If you're asking can you get a refund from your attorney who won the case for you, of course not.

If you're asking can you get legal fees from your ex after the case is over with, as I am sure your lawyer already told you, no. The time to have sought legal fees from him was while the case was pending, and that was up to the judge.
