my son will be 18 in 5 months he does not go to school and has been in out of adult jail do i have to continue to pay child support?

You have to comply with the child support order. If the order states you have to pay until he reaches 18, you have to do so.

At this point, If you file for a petition to modify child support, it may take a month or two to get on the court's calendar. Therefore, you would probably save 2-3 months of support. If this savings is important to you. You should file the petition to modify support.
