Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Is there such a thing as grandship?

What is grandship and what do I need to fill out to have it done. I need my parents to have the necessary documents to take care of my son because he is living with my parents.

If you are refering to a guardianship, it is a procedure where you as the natural parent give someone else the authority to act as the guardian for your child. This would allow your parents to make medical decisions for your child, enroll him in a school and possibly allow your son to be covered under your parents medical insurance. The procedure is done through the probate court of the county where the minor child is found. There are several types of guardianship, so be careful to choose the one that is right for your situation.
